Genomic Life combines DNA screening with tailored health guidance to give you personalized actions you can take to improve your health. DNA Screening is not required to access health guidance, but after answering a few simple health questions, Genomic Life may suggest DNA tests that could be helpful for you. We ask these questions to help suggest the right tests and services for you.

Genomic Life works with top US labs to offer medical-grade DNA tests. These tests use your DNA to create a personalized report.

One type of screening test that is offered through Genomic Life is called the Genetic Health Screen. This test looks at your DNA to check for changes that may increase your risk for certain health problems, like cancer and heart disease. These are conditions where you can take action, such as screenings, treatments, or lifestyle changes.

If your DNA shows a higher risk, our health navigators will guide you through the next steps, help you set up a session with a genetic counselor, and work with your doctor.

Another test that is offered through Genomic Life is called a Pharmacogenomic test, or PGx. This test looks at how your DNA affects the way your body responds to medicines. Most people have at least one change in their DNA that affects how a medicine works. Having your PGx results helps your doctor choose medicines that work best for you to avoid side effects. This test is especially helpful for people who take multiple medications.

Genomic Life also provides access to Carrier Screening for people planning to have a family. This test looks at your DNA to see if you have changes that, if both parents carry them, may increase the chance of passing on a genetic condition to a child. This test is most helpful for couples planning a pregnancy, but it can also be done during pregnancy.
