2026 Cardiovascular Nursing Symposium
April 9-11, 2026 | Scottsdale, AZ
Inherited cardiovascular conditions affect >1 in 150 individuals and are associated with significant morbidity and mortality (Morales, 2025). Genetic testing for inherited cardiovascular conditions remains underutilized. We have developed a novel prevention-focused employee health program to detect genetic risk variants for these conditions and to improve education, access to specialists, and adherence to surveillance and screening measures.

NSGC Annual Conference - 2025
Nov. 6-10, 2025 | Seattle, Washington
Navigation is an evidence-based practice that can support care coordination for prevention and screening strategies that lead to timely access to healthcare and increased adherence. The Institute of Medicine identified that fragmented care delivery leads to a breakdown in care coordination, poor adherence, and decreased access to care. In 2025, nearly 70% are behind on cancer screenings (PCF), and most individuals are unaware of genetic risks for conditions that may be prevented or detected earlier.3 Genetic screening can identify health risks that enable prevention and early detection.
