Randy Scott, Ph.D.

Randy Scott, Ph.D., Chairman and CEO of Genomic Life, is a scientist, entrepreneur and co-founder of multiple biotechnology companies. Randy is currently CEO of Thinking Bench Capital, LLC and Chair and Co-founder of Genome Medical, a nationwide tele-genetics medical practice founded in 2016.

He previously co-founded Invitae (NASDAQ:NVTA) where he served as CEO from 2012 to 2017 and Executive Chair from 2017 to 2019. Randy also co-founded Genomic Health (NASDAQ: GHDX) in 2000 where he served as Chair and CEO for nine years and Executive Chair for three years. Prior to Genomic Health, Randy was a co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Incyte (NASDAQ: INCY), a genomic information company which was founded in 1991.

Randy serves as the Chairman and CEO of Genomic Life and on the boards of BridgeBio (NASDAQ:BBIO), Talis Biomedical and Freenome. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Emporia State University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Kansas. Randy is an author of more than 40 scientific publications, holds 20 patents, and is the recipient of numerous awards including the Ernst & Young 1997 Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Silicon Valley.
